Foothill Conservancy would like to thank all of the volunteers who turned out for our 2018 Mokelumne River Cleanup on September 15. Volunteers removed 465 pounds of trash and recyclables from the river along Electra Road and at Big Bar. This year's "most unusual or weirdest trash" as voted by volunteers? A red patent leather platform high heel shoe.

Removing this trash makes a huge contribution towards keeping the Mokelumne’s water clean and its environment safe for the many people who visit the river for its recreational opportunities and its simple beauty.
